For free public trees for streets, schools, or parks, please complete and mail the attached Tree Grant Application. Our mailing address is indicated below.
For one free private tree for your own yard, please complete & mail the attached “Shade and Save” Application.To qualify for this pilot project sponsored by PG&E, applicants must own their own home and have air conditioning as well as agree to plant the tree in a strategic location that will block sun rays during the afternoon. (see application for details)
Our City Forest will visit your site to determine eligibility and assist you in selecting the right tree, and in properly planting and caring for it.
Our City Forest is a local non-profit cultivating a greener, healthier community by planting and caring for trees in partnership with residents and volunteers. Trees provide many benefits to the community, including cleaning our air, lowering energy consumption, raising property values, and making our city a healthier place to live.
